Hollie Buhagiar is a BAFTA-winning composer, songwriter, and acclaimed vocalist from Gibraltar, based in London. Renowned for her distinct sonic palette, she combines traditional composition with vocal experimentation, found sound, and cutting edge production, creating bold emotionally driven scores across film and television. A graduate of Leeds College of Music and the National Film and Television School, Hollie continues to expand the creative boundaries of screen composition.

Recent highlights include the Sky Original investigative series ROYAL KILL LIST (starring Joseph Fiennes, Jared Harris, and Sheila Atim) and the three-part drama documentary RIPPER: WRITTEN IN BLOOD with both scores earning Music and Sound Award nominations. She also scored the SXSW premiering romantic drama I REALLY LOVE MY HUSBAND, the BAFTA Cymru nominated short THE DATE, Warner Bros documentary THE LONG AWAY GAME, and the Tribeca premiering comedy TRUCKLOAD starring Jodie Whittaker and Joe Dempsie.

Her earlier work includes the BAFTA winning animated short POLES APART, alongside standout vocal contributions for titles such as DOCTOR WHO, BODIES, and ELITE. Hollie had the honour of performing at the Royal Albert Hall last summer as a soloist in the BBC Proms.

In recognition of her artistic innovation and international impact, Hollie has received Gibraltar’s Extraordinary Achievement Award, the Michael Danino Award, and the Gibraltar Cultural Award, along with Best Composer at the Underwire Film Festival. With a fearless approach to sound and storytelling, she is carving out a singular place in the next generation of celebrated film composers.
