UK based artist, composer and songwriter Xav Clarke’s musical style is imaginative, playful and fantastical, with a wandering sophistication and curiosity that welcomes listeners into his rainbow world of complex sounds, textures and emotions.

As an artist and musician, Xav creates his unique brand of 70s tinged psychedelic pop, writing and performing with a number of bands, as well as on his solo album releases Magic Arrow and Fossil Forest. Whether scoring for animation, songwriting or producing his solo work, Xav’s versatile skill and free spirited nature always follow where the music leads.

Xav’s ability to write sharp witted songs and memorable score has proved a perfect match for animated series such as the hugely successful return of Cartoon Network's THE WONDERFULLY WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL, and his organic and inventive approach to Apple TV+ series’ WOLFBOY AND THE EVERYTHING FACTORY.

His other credits include the cinematic sci fi adventure ELLIOTT FROM EARTH for Cartoon Network, the animated comedy series THE HEROIC QUEST OF THE VALIANT PRINCE IVANDOE, and Teen Titans Go! spin-off series BEAST BOY: LONE WOLF.

Beyond animation, Xav scored and wrote original songs for the intimate and darkly humorous feature documentary RED HERRING, which won Best UK Feature at Raindance. His work earned HMMA and Music and Sound Award nominations for Best Song for 'Growing Up Is For Losers' and for Best Original Score.

Xav is currently working on the score for POKÉMON TALES: THE MISADVENTURES OF SIRFETCH’D & PICHU, a brand-new stop-motion animated series created in collaboration between Pokémon and four-time Academy Award®-winning studio Aardman.
